Oh no, Germany is not content with accumlating World Cup & Euro trophies, they have now concentrated on taking the most precious prize in
football. Yes, they have gone and won the famous Preston Predictions Trophy. Quite how this happenend is a mystery, but undercover agent (Pete) turned up for his first season
and took the honours with a bit to spare!
A steady performance throughout the season saw Pete land the trophy in what has been his only season to date in the competition, impressive stuff, although he was chased by a couple of past winners, Bazza and Steve from Melbourne. The top six were dominated by folks from downunder, taking four of the podium places, joined by a fifth place finish from Spain (Keith). The Executives at headquarters, on going through the PP terms and conditions, reluctantly had to admit that they couldn't find a rule that said a Swansea City supporting Welshman, living in Germany wasn't allowed to win the competition, so with reluctance the PP Board jumped on a plane to Frankfurt for a complete binge weekend and to hand the trophy to Pete, before retiring to the local Irish pub for rest and relaxation!
